Palm Beaches Named One Of The Top Retirement Destinations For Golfers
Over the weekend, golf.com and Sports Illustrated Golf came out with the “Top Five Retirement Havens” for golfers, and of course the Palm Beaches were on the list. While the list wasn’t numbered, the Palm Beaches were mentioned fourth behind other popular golf locations Pebble Beach, Hilton Head, and Scottsdale, and ahead of Austin.
Given the number of courses in the area and the quality of golfing options, it’s no surprise the area made the list. With many of the top golfers in the world calling the Palm Beaches and northern Palm Beach County home, it’s no wonder that the area is viewed as one of the top golfing destinations in the United States.
Specifically mentioned in the write-up was The Bear’s Club, BallenIsles, Mirasol, Old Palm, Old Marsh, and PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Admiral’s Cove, Trump Jupiter, and the Loxahatchee Club in Jupiter, Medalist in Hobe Sound, and Seminole in Juno Beach.
More then just the golf, the feature touched on some of the great non-golf related activities that the area has to offer, including shopping on Worth Avenue, taking a trip to the Flagler Museum, going for a walk along many of the pristine beaches in the area, or dining at one of the many fine restaurants such as the Flagler Steakhouse and Captain Charlie’s.
